Appointment reminders
Reminding clients before an appointment by email or text, choosing who gets them, and how texts are counted and billed.
For (management)OwnersPractice Managers
Wattle can remind a client before their appointment, by email and (as a paid extra) by text. Reminders are off until you turn them on, and nothing is sent for appointments that came in with an import.
Settings → Appointment reminders.

Walk-throughs
Gotchas
- Turned reminders on and nothing went? Check Who gets reminders. On Only clients I turn on, a client gets nothing until you set them.
- A reminder is not a recall. Reminders are about an appointment that is already booked. Wattle does not send "due for a vaccination" messages.
- Curly quotes become plain ones and emoji are removed before a text is sent, so the count on screen is the count you pay for.
- A landline is not a mobile. Only an Australian mobile number can be texted.
- Imported appointments are never announced. Only an appointment a person made in Wattle, or a client booked online, sends anything.
